Cabbage Supreme

 

A really great basic food, cabbage can be eaten at any stage from raw to fermented. Being alive, it is powerful in pranic energy, life force. For health, best eaten raw, but for taste, best eaten with garlic, onion & butter & pepper.

 

*Heat up the wok, put in 1/2cup water & a sliced onion.

*Pick a small, light, loose, green head of cabbage & cut in two.

(Slice the half or 3/4 into strips)

*Toss in some Crimini mushrooms

(I leave the small ones whole & slice the larger ones.)

*Slice the cabbage core & throw it in & let those three ingredients cook a few minutes. (Thinly sliced new red potato could go in also for more bulk & with added couple minutes of cooking)

*Check the water in the wok, one wants to have just enough to make steam & sear the food just a bit.

*Throw in the cabbage with a few cloves of garlic & steam for a bit till it wilts, shut off the gas, throw in a bit of thyme and let sit for a couple of minutes.

 

This will serve one or having some rice with it will do for two.

Serve with butter, sprinkle on some Nutritional yeast & a couple squirts of Tamari or Braggs & fresh ground pepper.
